Leopard’s Leisure is a wine company that produces bottled and boxed wines. Leopard’s Leisure is a company that cares about its customers and the world we live in, valuing environmental consciousness, helpfulness, kindness, and understanding. The company donates a percentage of monthly profits to charities and foundations focusing on fighting domestic abuse, LGBTQ+ programs, and deforestation and over logging of rainforests and jungles.
One of the types of products that Leopard's Leisure produces is mini boxed wines, coming in packs of four or sold individually. The 10-ounce mini boxed wines are targeted towards individuals that enjoy sipping wine anywhere, anytime without having to worry about spilling a single drop. This design in particular is for the company's Pinot Noir mini boxed wine.
This design takes inspiration from rainforests, its tasting qualities, and Greek mythology. The name of the company is inspired by the Greek god Dionysus, who was the god of wine. The leopard, as named in the company and illustrated on the product, is one of Dionysus’ sacred animals. The illustrated leopard is shown relaxing while drinking a glass of wine, creating a calm, but beautiful and strong look. The vines surrounding the product have both iconography of jungles, simplified monstera leaves, and designs based on the tasting qualities of this wine, strawberry and rose petal, so the consumer can have a hint of what the qualities of this wine are without having to read the back of this box.
The Antiquarian Scribe typeface was chosen for the logo because is a simple yet light script, evoking jungle in its roughness. The Bree GRK var typeface was chosen for its Greek style lettering, to tie back to the mythological inspiration. The red color chosen to represent the kind of wine the product holds, using tints to create details and illustrations. The teal color was chosen as a contrasting cool color without being complementary to the red, this way the color will still stand out, without distracting from the rest of the design.
